DANVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — An Indiana man was arrested on Tuesday as part of an undercover child exploitation investigation.
James Alpine, 61, of Mooresville, Indiana, reportedly contacted a Boyle County Deputy online, believing he was an underage female, and made multiple sexual advances, including sending obscene pictures of himself.

Alpine traveled to Danville, where authorities said he planned to have sex with the young woman in a hotel room. At the scene, Alpine was seen on surveillance footage entering the parking lot of the hotel. Deputies said he then contacted her and suggested they meet at a gas station to avoid detection.

Deputies at the scene proceeded to place Alpine under arrest and charge him with:
- Procuring or promoting sexual performance of a minor by electronic means
- Distribution of obscene matter to minors
He was booked into the Boyle County Detention Center and is being held on a $5,000 bond.
