LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Lexington Division of Waste Management is holding its fall mulch giveaway on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Yard waste collected over the past few months in Lexington is now being made available as much to Fayette County residents.

The mulch will be available for pickup between 8 a.m. and noon. It is requested that people don’t arrive before 8 a.m.

All mulch will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis, and residents are limited to one pickup truckload per individual.

There will be a self-load area for residents who are picking up smaller loads of mulch. All self-loaders will need to bring their own tools, shovels, and bags. They will not be provided.

The mulch pickup is for Fayette County residents only, and a valid ID with a Lexington address will be required to collect mulch.
