LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky residents now have the opportunity to receive the monkeypox vaccine.

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department is offering a monkeypox vaccine clinic on Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Central Baptist Church located at 110 Wilson Downing Rd.

You do not have to be a Fayette County resident to receive the vaccine, but you must register in advance at Lexington-Fayette County Health Department website.

According to the CDC, the state of Kentucky currently sits at 11 confirmed monkeypox cases.
