LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Lexington Fire Department has contained a house fire in the 900 block of Rockbridge Road.

According to Lexington Fire Department Major Jessica Bowman, crews were dispatched to the home around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, Bowman said they discovered heavy smoke and a small fire on the second floor. Crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, and the damage was contained to the area of origin. 

No injuries were reported as all occupants had evacuated prior to the fire department’s arrival, according to Bowman.

Officials are currently investigating the fire’s origin and cause.
