LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDKY) – Lexington police say they’ve charged a man with murder in a new homicide investigation.
Andrew Buster, Jr., 33, is charged with murder and sodomy.
Buster’s arrest citation says he sexually assaulted the victim on Dec. 10, 2018.
“During the course of the assault, the victim became unconscious,” the document reads. “The victim later died as a result of her injuries.”
The citation lists the victim as Buster’s neighbor.
Buster was living on Martin Ct. in Lexington at the time of his arrest. It’s not clear where Buster was living at the time of the incident.
The victim’s name has not been released.
A Lexington Police Department spokeswoman told WDKY this case was only recently determined to be a homicide.
Police expect to release new details about the case on Tuesday.
Buster is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday as well.
