Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story contained an incorrect spelling of the treat and date of the event. The actual spelling is Choco Taco, and the event is on June 16. We apologize for the errors.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Do you remember Choco Tacos, the sweet treat of vanilla ice cream swirled with chocolate fudge, topped with nuts, coated in milk chocolate, and held together by a taco-shaped waffle shell?
Odds are you haven’t forgotten, but rather haven’t had one in quite some time. That’s because the Klondike product was officially discontinued in 2022 after 40 years of production.
But what if I told you there was a way to get your hands on one more Choco Taco before they’re gone forever?
Well, there’s a chance to do just that, right here in Lexington.
Klondike recently found 600 Choco Tacos to give away — the last on Earth — and a Taco Tico here in Lexington was the lucky recipient. But they’re not keeping them to themselves; Taco Tico wants to invite the community to enjoy the last Choco Tacos with them.
Taco Tico is hosting a mini-event at its Southland location to give them away with a no-minimum purchase. The event is limited to one per person, so savor it carefully.
If you want to make history by being one of the last people on Earth to eat a Choco Taco, join the Taco Tico team from 1-4 p.m. on June 16 at 212 Southland Drive.
