LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Eight Kentucky restaurants have been honored for their wine selections.
Wine Spectator, which calls itself the leading authority on wine, recently announced its 2023 Awards in Excellence. The awards included eight Kentucky restaurants out of 3,505 around the globe.
Of the eight restaurants, Lexington’s Jeff Ruby’s made the list. It was celebrated for its strong California wine selection. Jeff Ruby’s is listed on the more expensive end and has American and steakhouse fare.
Just outside of Lexington, Midway’s Holly Hill Inn was also featured for its strong California, France, and Italy wine selections at moderate prices and farm-to-table cuisine.
Jeff Ruby’s in Louisville and Repeal Oak-Fired Steakhouse, also in Louisville, were both honored with the Best of Award of Excellence, two wine glasses out of three. They were the most-honored restaurants in Kentucky.
