FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) – Frankfort police were called into action at 6 a.m. Thursday to investigate a reported shooting.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Landings Drive. At the scene, the police said they located a 25-year-old man who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot.
He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Initial investigations revealed the man was allegedly shot by another man as a result of a verbal altercation between the two.
The individual fled the scene and has yet to be located.
