FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Kentucky Blood Center holds a lot of opportunities to donate with mobile blood drives.
One came to Frankfort on Wednesday.
The mobile blood drives are meant to make donating blood even easier for residents in other parts of the state. The one held at Frankfort’s Memorial Baptist Church brought in a lot of donors, who also received a “Do Good, Feel Good” hoodie.
The Kentucky Blood Center holds nearly 2,000 mobile blood drives a year, and they generally have positive results. Prior to the pandemic, nearly 70% of donations came from mobile blood drives like this one.

“We’re really thankful. As you know, we’re now kind of three years removed from the start of the pandemic to be able to get back to somewhat normal operations where we’re getting back into more churches and more businesses and schools, but we’d like to continue to get into more to collect more blood,” said Kentucky Blood Center Director of Media and Branding Eric Lindsey.
