LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The motorcyclist was identified as 29-year-old Brandon Mayle-George.

A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on Leestown Road on Friday.

Police said a car was traveling down Lucille Drive around 5 p.m. when it hit a motorcycle traveling outbound on Leestown Road.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital and later died, according to authorities.

FOX 56 News is waiting for the coroner to release the name of the victim.

Leestown Road was shut down for a few hours but has since reopened.
