The exhibit features women veterans from across the nation and those from the Bluegrass state. The exhibit also features art made by local veterans. Gallery Director Jeanette Tesmer said there is nothing like seeing young girls get inspired by these heroes.

“I get emotional every time I talk about it because I just think it’s such you get a visual reaction when you watch a little girl look at a picture on the wall and say like, oh, that looks like me. Or That could be me. Or how cool that woman did X, Y, Z. So it’s really awesome to be able to just have it here,” Tesmer said.

The exhibit is open through Jan. 6.
