LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Lexington’s 68th shooting took place on Friday afternoon.

Lexington police told FOX 56 that it happened around 12:56 p.m. in the 1400 block of Anniston Drive.

Police said 20-year-old Kaleb Peterson was arrested shortly after the shooting, and he was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center. Paterson was charged with first-degree assault and violation of conditions of release.

One person was found outside suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound and has been transported to an area hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time, and an investigation is ongoing.
