LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A blockage is in effect for I-64 westbound beginning at 3 p.m.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) said the blockage is due to an incident involving an overturned mobile home at mile marker 72.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

A second wrecker is arriving on the scene to remove the mobile home.

KYTC said:

  • the interstate will be closed at the northern split
  • traffic will be diverted to Interstate 75 northbound while the mobile home is removed

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

There is no definitive timetable for how long the blockage will be in effect.
