LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A special guest will be in attendance as Raising Cane’s and the Lexington Humane Society team up for a pet adoption event.
Through the combined power of Raising Cane’s “craveable” chicken finger meals and the passion for pet welfare it shares with the humane society, a pet adoption event and fundraiser will take place Saturday. The “parvo puppy” honorary mascot Delilah, who made national headlines after complications from her battle with parvo and would only eat Raising Cane’s chicken, will be at the event to enjoy her favorite chicken with a side of scratches and pets.
The Raising Cane’s chicken proved to be just what the doctor ordered. The chicken helped stimulate her appetite and got her back on puppy food.
MORE KENTUCKY NEWS:
Delilah fully recovered from her parvo and was adopted into her forever home by her foster parents. She celebrated the occasion with some Raising Canes.

The pet adoption event will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the Raising Cane’s on Harrodsburg Road. Raising Cane’s will also donate 15% of all sales to the cause from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. when customers mention the Lexington Humane Society at checkout.
Anyone who adopts an animal will receive an adoption bag full of Raising Cane’s swag for the newest addition to their family.
