RICHMOND, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky State Police said Tyler Blevins has been found and is back in custody.

KSP said they were contacted just before 8 a.m. by the Maysville Police Department, who said they had arrested Blevins.

He has been booked in the Mason County Detention Center and and has been charged with second-degree escape.

Kentucky State Police are searching for an inmate who walked away from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center.

Just before 6 a.m., Thursday, Tyler J. Blevins, 32, of Vanceburg, walked away from the Richmond facility.

He is a white man who stands 5 feet 11 inches and weighs 203 lbs. Blevins has brown hair, green eyes, and a surgical scar on his abdomen. He also has multiple tattoos on his arms, chest, back, and left wrist.

According to KSP, he is known to frequently visit Lewis, Mason, and other surrounding counties.

Blevins was in custody for second-degree methamphetamine trafficking, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and first-degree burglary.
