LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A well-known Lexington diner is receiving high praise on a national scale.

Ramsey’s Diner was named Kentucky’s best locally-owned restaurant in the state for 2023 by Southern Living magazine.

The restaurant received high praise from magazine editors for its fried chicken, sides, pies, and hot browns.

“The fried chicken is crispy outside, dreamy tender within. An impressive list of sides include yellow squash and onions, honey-mustard carrots, stewed tomatoes, sweet pickled beets, apple fritters, and creamed corn. The Hot Brown’s the best in town,” Southern Living wrote.

Ramsey’s has been serving up southern favorites for more than 30 years in four locations across Lexington:

• Ramsey’s Zandale: 151 West Zandal
• Ramsey’s Tates Creek: 4053 Tates Creek Center
• Ramsey’s Andover: 3090 Helmsdale Drive
• Ramsey’s Harrodsburg Road: 4391 Harrodsburg Road

All four locations are open from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
