LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Just because it’s not Burger Week doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some delicious, one-of-a-kind burgers in Lexington.

The rankings were determined by Yelp with input from its community of online reviewers.

Here are Yelp’s favorite burger joints to relish in and around the city.

1. Jack Brown’s Beer and Burger Joint

Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint is the dream of two childhood best friends, Aaron Ludwig and Mike Sabin. According to Jack Brown’s, Aaron was really into craft beer, and Mike had served as chef at four restaurants. With their powers combined, a beer and burger joint was born.

Serving up 100% American Wagyu beef Burgers sourced from the family-owned Snake River Farm in Boise, Idaho. Why this beef? It creates a rich, buttery texture.

“Don’t ask for lettuce and tomato, our burgers are prepared simple and basic. Our specials are a creative twist on an American classic,” its website reads.

2. Bad Wolf Burgers

Where it’s “good to be bad.”

The Bad Wolf Burger is a crowd favorite: a blackened, seasoned patty topped with thick-cut smoked bacon, house-crafted beer cheese, and house-fried onion straws.

One Yelper’s daughter tried their pineapple teriyaki burger and “wolfed with glee.”

3. Big Kahuna

This Hawaiian barbecue joint is rated one of the best spots for a burger in Lexington.

Their Big Kahuna burger is the star of the show, weighing in at a 1/2-pound patty topped with charred pineapple, Swiss cheese, bacon, and barbecue sauce on a toasted bun. Not in a burger mood? Get a taste of some tropical barbecue or other Hawaiian favorites.

4. BRU Burger Bar

Their goal is to bring Lexington great burgers sourced from the best local meats, topped with fresh ingredients, on freshly baked buns.

Their honey chipotle barbecue burger is a crowd favorite; it’s two smashed patties topped with bacon, caramelized onions, onion rings, pulled pork, white Cheddar cheese, and black pepper mayo.

5. Bella Cafe and Grille

Fresh, local, and seasonal—that’s Bella Cafe and Grille‘s motto.
