LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A woman has been arrested in connection to a 2022 death in Lexington.

Lexington police said on Monday, 35-year-old Jennifer Kashuba was arrested and charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.

In Feb. 2022, maintenance staff at a Lexington apartment complex discovered a foot that belonged to a body found by a dumpster.

The property manager of the apartments, Barbie Durrum, told FOX 56 News a black plastic tarp showed up on the property, but people thought it was trash, but when one maintenance worker went to clean the trash up, they noticed something was off.

“He actually called my boss and said it’s got an odor to it, I don’t know what it is, but I can’t lift it up. I need help,” Durrum told FOX 56.

During the investigation, the cause of death was ruled a homicide. The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name.
