HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (FOX 56) – Northern Kentucky is headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019 after winning the Horizon League Championship.
The Norse nabbed the No. 16 seed in the Midwest Region and will face No. 1 Houston on Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama.
Henry Clay alum Marques Warrick scored 18 points for the Norse in the championship game on Tuesday night.
The Norse have been to the NCAA Tournament twice as a Division I school, losing in the first round in 2017 and 2019.
