DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (FOX 56) – Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball isn’t satisfied with the most exciting forty minutes of basketball anymore.
The Colonels used 50 minutes on Tuesday night to beat Southern Utah 108-106 in double overtime of the College Basketball Invitational Semifinals. This was the third straight night the Colonels played a game that went into overtime.
The Colonels will face the Charlotte 49ers in the title game Wednesday at 5:00 PM on ESPN 2.
Isaiah Cozart scored a career-high 31 points, including the game-winning free throws with 1.1 seconds left in double OT. He also pulled down 13 rebounds. Devontae Blaton scored 24 points, while Leland Walker chipped in 16 points. Also in double figures, Tayshawn Comer with 15 points, and Cooper Robb with 14.
