LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Kentucky softball infielder, Erin Coffel, was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

Coffel shares the honor with Tennessee’s Ivy Davis.

The sophomore was additionally named the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association National Player of the Week earlier in the day, becoming the first Kentucky player t win the award since Griffin Joinder in 2014.

Coffel hit .667 on the week, including a whopping .700 in the Wildcats’ three-game series at No. 6 Arkansas. She hit three home runs, drove in 10 runs, and had two long balls in Saturday’s win over the SEC-leading Razorbacks.
