FAYETTEVILLE, Ar. (FOX 56) – No. 6 Arkansas is the only SEC softball team to win every conference season of the season so far after beating No. 8 Kentucky over Easter weekend.

Sunday’s Easter showdown saw the Razorbacks shut down the Wildcats’ offense, 8-0 the final score in six innings due to the run rule.

Kentucky scored 10 runs in Saturday night’s win behind a couple huge home runs from Erin Coffel, going yard to tie the game with a three run shot in the 4th inning and taking the lead with a solo shot in the top of the 7th. She had a 4-4 day at the plate.

The bats could not deliver a similar performance in the rubber match, mustering up just four hits and no runs to close the series in tough fashion, losing 2nd place in the SEC standings to Arkansas and settling for 3rd.

The Wildcats travel to Eastern Kentucky on Wednesday for a midweek showdown before hosting Missouri next weekend with a Saturday-Sunday-Monday slate. Saturday is Bark in the Park Day.
