LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Oscar Tshiebwe’s legendary game against Georgia, followed up by a day of cleaning up the glass against Texas A&M, landed him his first weekly honor of the 2022-23 season.

Tshiebwe was named SEC Player of the Week on Monday by the league office. It’s just the second weekly award for the Wildcats this season, and the third overall in Tshiebwe’s career after two last season.

Last week, Tshiebwe put up 37 points and 24 rebounds against Georgia, while he followed up with seven points and 17 rebounds against Texas A&M.

Tshiebwe and Kentucky look to win their fourth straight game when they play at Vanderbilt Tuesday night. Tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m.
