NASHVILLE, Tenn. (FOX 56) – The Kentucky women’s basketball team has now lost 15 of its last 18 games after losing to Vanderbilt, 79-57 on Sunday at Memorial Gym in Nashville.
This was the 6th straight loss for the Wildcats, who now sit in second to last place in the SEC standings. Their overall record falls to 10-16 overall and 2-12 in SEC play.
Maddie Scherr missed her second straight game, while Robyn Benton returned from a one game absence and scored just two points. Both key players missed the game against Georgia on Thursday, when Kentucky only scored 40 points, including just five in the 2nd quarter and seven in the 3rd.
Adebola Adeyeye continues to improve as a key piece of Kentucky’s post presence, racking up 13 points and nine rebounds to lead her team in both stats. Blair Green scored 11, her second straight game in double figures.
Kentucky has two games left in the regular season: at Texas A&M on Thursday and home against Tennessee the following Sunday.
