LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Kentucky women’s soccer team began a new era this fall with Troy Fabiano taking over the program and so far, so good for the ballclub.

The Wildcats beat Iowa State on Sunday afternoon, 4-0 at The Bell Soccer Complex on campus with 690 fans in attendance. After a scoreless first half, UK broke the tie in the 59th minute with a goal by Hannah Richardson, followed by scores from Dana Dahm, Mallory Glass and Emilie Rhode.

UK put up 14 shots in the 2nd half and held a 21-7 shots advantage for the match. Goalkeeper Tallulah Miller held a clean sheet in net as the Wildcats secured their third shutout victory of the year.

Kentucky improves to 5-1 with the win and gets ready to host Wright State on Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at The Bell Soccer Complex.
