Danville's outdoor theater has been strong for 73 years
Thursday is World Aids Day, and one Lexington agency is taking a pause to honor the last 41 years of fighting one of the deadliest viruses on the planet and looks toward a future where it is no longer a threat. According to Kentucky's Department of Public Health, in the last year, almost 12,000 Kentuckians were diagnosed with HIV, 60% of which progressed to AIDS.
Gov. Andy Beshear has instructed the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) to open a female-only detention center in Campbell County, furthering his pledge to keep youth in custody safe and secure. Beginning in December, females between the ages of 11 to 18 will be housed at the DJJ Campbell Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
The workshop hopes to train employers on ways to improve outcomes for workers. A release by Cameron's office stated FedEx recently adopted a new firearm shipping agreement that would require firearm dealers to create three shipping accounts: one for firearms, one for firearms parts, and one for all other firearm-related products.
