LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Fall officially arrives at 9:04 pm tonight but mother nature has already released the fall feel across central and eastern Kentucky!

If you’re looking for more cooler weather, there is good news ahead for you!

Tonight, skies gradually clear out as winds calm. This will set the stage for a CHILLY night. Lows drop into the low and mid-40s with a few valley/sheltered areas that could dip into the upper-30s. Either way, the chill is real tonight!

Low temperatures Thursday

Friday keeps the pleasant weather rolling on. Clouds increase through the afternoon and evening hours as a quick-hitting system slides through town Friday night.

In return, a few scattered showers will be possible overnight Friday and through early Saturday morning. Otherwise, look for a very pleasant day with highs around 70 degrees and lows in the 50s.

High temperatures Friday

After a few showers early Saturday, skies trend drier through the afternoon hours. Highs warm into the mid and upper 70s with a southwesterly wind between 5 to 10 mph. Overall, another great weather day pans out.

Clouds will quickly increase once again Saturday night and into Sunday as our next cold front takes aim at the Ohio Valley. Partly to mostly cloudy skies win out Sunday with scattered showers and a storm possible. Washout conditions are not expected but some light rain could push your plans inside for a bit.

Weekend planner

High pressure builds overhead into next week as plenty of sunshine regains control. Highs hang tough in the upper 60s and low 70s through next mid-week as we see another great stretch of weather ahead!
