LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Spotty showers are possible this morning into the early afternoon across southern Kentucky. Most of the area will stay dry under a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky.

Temperatures will still be warm with highs in the low to mid-80s for most, but the humidity drops into the afternoon.

A secondary cold front pushes through tonight. This front won’t have a lot of moisture to work with, but I can’t rule out an isolated shower. We’ll definitely have some scattered clouds before clearing in the wee hours.

Much lower humidity moves in behind this secondary front along with cooler temperatures. Highs on Friday will be in the mid to upper 70s.

The fall preview continues into Saturday as temperatures climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s.

A chance for scattered storms returns on Sunday along with higher humidity.

Next week looks nice with temperatures remaining below average around 80 degrees for highs.
