LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A cold front working into the Ohio Valley today will lead to increasing scattered showers and storms this afternoon and evening.

I can’t rule out a few strong storms with gusty winds the biggest concern. However, the overall main threat is flooding.

All of the FOX 56 Viewing Area is under a Flood Watch until 8 p.m. Wednesday. A general 1-2 inches of rain is possible, but there will be spots that exceed that leading to an increased threat of flooding.

Temperatures today will still be hot with highs in the mid to upper 80s with Wednesday a bit cooler in the low 80s.

You’ll love the forecast for Friday as much lower humidity and cooler air move in.
