LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — If you liked the weather yesterday, you’ll like it today, too. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance for a pop-up shower this afternoon into the early evening with highs in the 80s.

A pleasant overnight as temperatures fall back into the upper 50s and lower 60s in most locations.

A ridge of high pressure keeps the heat coming Friday and Saturday when highs in the upper 80s and low 90s are likely.

The great news, the humidity actually drops over the weekend as northeasterly winds bring in lower humidity.

The latest Drought Monitor came out this morning and Abnormally Dry conditions have expanded to cover a large part of our viewing area.

The next chance for showers doesn’t return until early next week and even that looks very minimal.
