LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Prepare for a hot day ahead! High temperatures climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s under a mostly sunny sky.

The good news is we have even lower humidity that moves in through the afternoon.

Lower humidity will allow for pleasant temperatures overnight with lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Even hotter temperatures are in store for the area on Saturday. We should see highs near 90 or hotter.

We’ve made a change to the weekend forecast. A weak cold front looks like it pushes south late Saturday into Sunday bringing a chance for isolated showers and storms. Most locations remain dry.

Looking ahead, a bigger drop in temperatures and humidity is on the table for the area next week when highs in the 70s are likely.
