LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The clouds have been stubborn and don’t want to exit the region. Expect another mostly cloudy to overcast day, keeping temperatures cool with highs in the mid-to-upper 50s.

Partial clearing is expected on Tuesday night, which should allow temperatures to get colder. If mostly cloudy conditions prevail, we’ll stay in the mid-to-upper 40s.

Finally, we should get these thick clouds to break and give way to some sunshine on Wednesday.

Thanks to sunshine and a warmer airmass, temperatures will be much warmer.

A cold front sweeps through early Friday with showers and another push of cooler air for the weekend.
