LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Keep an umbrella or rain jacket handy today because scattered showers are moving in this afternoon.

Despite a mostly cloudy sky, it will still be a mild day with highs in the mid to upper 60s. It will be breezy, too. Wind gusts over 30 mph are possible this afternoon.

As a cold front moves through the state, rain will be likely tonight. Even a few rumbles of thunder are possible, with gusty winds over 30 mph possible again.

Rain is likely Friday morning and will become more scattered during the afternoon.

By the time the rain ends Friday night, most locations end up with 0.25″ to 0.50″ of rain.

Another disturbance drops into the Ohio Valley on Saturday, bringing increased clouds, and I can’t rule out a spotty shower, but most stay dry. Temperatures do get warmer, in the mid to upper 60s.

Behind the cold front, it will be much cooler on Sunday, with highs in the 50s for most.
