LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Showers end for most areas this morning, but a few showers could linger into early afternoon in far southeastern Kentucky. Clouds decrease from northwest to southeast this afternoon. That sets up a temperature gradient.

If you’re heading to high school football games this evening, it will be dry and cool.

A nice Saturday is on tap for the state. Other than a few passing clouds expect a mostly sunny sky and cool temperatures in the low to mid-50s.

Warmer air moves into the state next week, but another stretch of dry weather is expected.
