LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A cool start leads to a milder afternoon for many as highs climb back into the 50s and 60s.
Spotty showers look possible through Monday afternoon, but the best rain chances arrive late.

By Monday night, widespread soaking rains will take over all of central and eastern Kentucky, with heavy rain likely at times. In addition to the rain, gusty winds up to 30 mph at times will be possible.

When it’s all said and done by Tuesday night, rain amounts range from half an inch to an inch of rainfall. Some locally heavier amounts in spots look possible.

Wednesday is our transition day, with partly cloudy skies and chilly highs in the 40s. Sunshine returns just in time for Thanksgiving, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s! Then, we could be talking about another rain chance into the weekend.
