LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — We’re not done with the clouds or the cooler temperatures just yet. Expect a partly sunny to mostly cloudy sky Today. Late afternoon into the early evening we should gradually work in more sunshine. Temperatures warm into the upper 50s and lower 60s.

A lighter wind and a mainly clear sky Tonight bring a chance for patchy frost as lows bottom out in the upper 30s and potentially colder in valleys. Cover those plants or bring them indoors.

A nice Thursday is on tap for the region and warmer as highs reach the upper 60s.

The Next Big Thing is still focusing on a disturbance that brings a chance for showers Friday afternoon and lingers into early Saturday.

The best rain chance is on Oaks, with the forecast trending drier into Saturday afternoon for Derby.

A big warming trend continues into next week when highs warm well into the 70s and some lower 80s.
