LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — After a high-temperature Sunday in Lexington of 60 degrees, expect a warmer day on Monday.  Mostly sunny skies will return on Monday, with highs generally in the mid-60s.  However, a return to 60 degrees comes back on Tuesday.

By the time we reach midweek, look for many locations around the Commonwealth to climb into the mid to upper 60s, particularly on Wednesday and Thursday.

Our next chance of rain will arrive on Friday, where 0.25″ to 0.33″ of rain can be expected, at least this far out.  Stay tuned.

Our drought situation continues to get worse across much of central, eastern, and southeastern Kentucky.
