LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The below-average start to May continues into midweek, with frost in the forecast overnight Wednesday.
As warmer temperatures move in the rest of the week, so do scattered rain chances.
Overnight, temperatures drop into the mid-30s for some with patchy frost possible by early Thursday. Cover plants or bring them in.

The clear sky and calm winds lead to another chilly start Thursday. High temperatures start to move back into the upper 60s in the afternoon as sunshine is slowly covered by increasing clouds.

The next big thing we’re watching is for the Derby this weekend. The warm front will spark some rain showers and possibly a little thunder as we head into Friday.
We’ll see scattered rain continue into Saturday morning as well. For the Derby Saturday evening, it looks like rain will fade away and we’ll trend drier with temperatures in the 60s. Just in time for the big race.
