LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – It was a decent Monday after some isolated showers in the morning. Temperatures were warmer again in the mid-50s.

A few showers will linger into the overnight hours before another above-average day Tuesday. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds for most of Tuesday as the high temperatures hit the mid-50s.

Clouds pick up again overnight as more scattered rain rolls in for Wednesday. A warm front will kick up scattered showers on and off most of Wednesday. The best chance will be in the early morning.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Temperatures will surge into the 70s as winds from the southwest gust upwards of 40 mph. The warmth carries into Thursday with highs in the upper 70s. We’ll see gusty winds most of the week.

There’s a chance for some rain and thunder in the early morning Thursday, then we’ll see some clearing into the afternoon. Another round of storms that pop up along the cold front could be strong. Then temperatures plummet by the weekend.
