LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Spotty rain is expected on Monday, but an icy mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow will be possible later Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Tonight, look for plenty of clouds with more spotty rain developing, a 20 percent chance, with lows around 40 degrees.
Monday, expect mostly cloudy skies with spots of rain and early highs in the lower to mid-40s, as temperatures drop for much of the afternoon. FIve to 10 mph winds will change from the South-southwest to the Northwest, which will cool us down.

What’s the timeframe? 10 p.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday.
This means if you receive an icy mix while you sleep, it will be important to exercise caution on bridges and overpasses, especially, during the Tuesday morning commute.
If this event were all snow, for example, we might have received roughly half an inch of snow or more, but because temperatures in the mid-levels will not be uniform, a wintery mix will be possible.
Most of Tuesday should be dry with plenty of clouds.
But another round of snow showers may affect southeast Kentucky very late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. Stay tuned.
